Transformation Through Revelations!

9/19/2017

We are born again and made new creations in Christ. This is a faith fact. This means we are brand new and have the same nature as God because we are His sons and daughters. Amen.

Our spirits are not healed, they are new creations (II Cor. 5:17). Why should we make this distinction? It is because many take the healing promises and provisions in scripture and interpret them to mean spiritual healing. I understand why this is done. It helps to explain why it is that many are not healed physically. It also takes away the pressure of expecting physical healing. Most of this comes from our experiences, not from scripture itself.

The scripture goes on to describe...

The Grace Revolution Is Here--With Help!

11/19/2015

Lord of Lords BCC has become part of the grace revolution of these last days. This means we get it that our salvation and walk all depend upon who God is to us. Our faith only stands when we stand in what God has done in Jesus in us. Other churches are joining in not to start a new denomination but to return us to the foundation of Paul's revelations in his letters to the churches.

The gospel is a gospel of grace. It's not about what we do for God, or how much we love Him; it's about what He's already done in us through Christ who is in us and how much God loves us!

Moving On!

We have moved in and now we are moving on! After adjusting from being in the Priff school for ten years we have come to enjoy our new place. What is amazing to us is that God put on on Rt. 9! The site work and sign have turned out better than we imagined. The focus and purpose of Lord of Lords BCC is that we be a place rich in God's grace and we are seen by hundreds every day.

We are seeing new people coming almost every week. A good number have decided to stay. As we look to our future in Waretown, we want to remain faithful to the call and vision God has given to us. We want to present God in Christ Jesus as He ever meant to be known. God has removed...

Moving In

We moved into our building last October 5th with our TCO and this past week we received our CO! The building is wonderful to occupy and rich in presentation. We are very grateful to have come this far with the help of many volunteers and the giving (some times miraculous) of many others.

This location on Rt. 9 is amazing to us since we were not particularly looking to find a place on the major street in Waretown. We believe God led us to this building and then inspired us to take possession. We may take for granted that we are in but we came through a two year process. God has sent us what we needed over and over again. Now that we are here we want to be faithful to the supernatural call upon us to minster and serve.

Without the power of God to confirm His word we are just another sounding cymbal and noisy gong (Mark 16:20). Without the grace of God being emphasized we'd just be another religious institution putting burdens on people we wouldn't want put on us. Our understanding of God has dramatically changed...

Jesus Is Actually Everything!

2/23/2015

Somehow many of us grew up in the church with the idea that Jesus is our savior to cover what we can't do for ourselves. There is a saying like this, "God only helps those who help themselves." It strongly implies that God is only willing to help us when we come to the end of our own efforts. Jesus is going to make up the difference or fill in the gaps of what we can't do. When the scriptures says, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me" we take it to mean that what I may fall short of accomplishing Christ puts me over.

This understanding then places a lot but not all of the burden of life still upon each of us to do our part. We quote James, "Faith without works is dead" interpreting that to mean that we have to do works along with our faith. This all reinforces the concept that God is our aide, supplement, and insurance of some kind to help us in life.

If God is helping us as in providing what is missing, then at some point in this team effort I can take some credit. We pray for help and expect God to make up what is missing; however, at the core of the work is our work. God is helping me!

This means that God is like our co-pilot...

Dedication Of Our New Building!

10/30/2014

November 2, 2014

I have posted in the hallway an accounting of the investment and monies spent to bring us to this day of dedication. It is amazing to me that we have spent over $180,000 and need to spend nearly $25,000 more. We have been blessed with a benefactor who has called benefactors to make this happen. We can’t look at our numbers and say, “It was our strength of numbers that brought us this blessing.” Most churches in America are under 100 in attendance with an average of $70,000 in their budgets. Lord of Lords BCC has had a budget over $120,000 for its existence and many of those years it has reached $145,000. We have been blessed and for such a small congregation of roughly 70 people, to have resources given and provided so that we could invest $200,000 to have our TCO and then our CO, is remarkable (more like a miracle).

We have had donations from anonymous sources and discounts from contractors exceeding $70,000+ to get us here. From September 2012 to October 2014 we have had numerous large donations from $500 to $10,000 given for this purpose. I’d like to believe it is because we are such special people but God is no respecter of persons. I’d like to say it is because we have such a great pastor but that is not the case either. What we have is a rich place for those who have come to grasp, stand in, and assert God’s rich grace.

When we believe the right things it places us in the gift of God’s blessing. We don’t get what we deserve; we get what we believe Jesus is to us. We get Jesus if we accept our acceptance...

Worship Takes On New Meaning!

8/2/2014

For most of my Christian life (since 12 years old) I have misunderstood the true nature of worship. I have looked at it like is was my purpose and obligation to God because He is my creator. I was made to worship and when I don't I'm not pleasing God. I often don't worship God because I tend to see it as a vague and often useless responsibility to help in my life on earth. The only use I saw in it was appeasing God. I worshiped out of fear or duty knowing it is expected. I worshiped because I should--after all God is God. I worshiped so that God would not be angry at me or curse me...

Worship is what human beings do to recognize how great God is. The underlying implication is that our worship is something God required and desired of us for His own purposes. God required our worship much like we might see someone demanding that we acknowledge their authority over us. We might see worship as our sign of surrender to someone superior to us. When we look at worship from a human point of view we see God somehow using it over us or receiving it from us as acknowledgement of His Lordship.

This idea or persuasion motivating worship is all wrong. If we see worship as something we must do, should do, as in a duty, obligation, or responsibility, we are missing the real purpose of it. If we think that our worship is us giving God something and God is receiving, or taking in, or somehow feeding off of it--we are way off again. God doesn't need our worship, He doesn't need our praise! In fact, God doesn't need our love, adoration, and appreciation. God doesn't need anything--He is God.

Worship is not us giving it is us receiving!

God's Power Is Made Perfect In Our Weakness

5/14/2014

We don't have to be strong or pretend to be something we are not; God is not interested in us playing games. This doesn't mean that we don't stand strong in confidence of who God is in us. We believe these things because God's word says these things:

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me (Php 4:13)! He is my life and by faith I know He is in me and is faithful to intercede and make me hit the mark of God's glory (Heb. 7:25). God's glory is made perfect when we rest in Him, trust His word, and stand against the fallen facts of this realm. We speak God's word and pray His will into our life situations because He is in us to fulfill His purposes.

When we acknowledge that our strength and purpose is God's gift to us we are staying in His grace (Philemon 1:6). I speak His word over against any lack in my life (Mark 11:23). I speak His word over against any sickness in my life. I do this because His word authorized me to use His name, peace, position, and righteousness to command God's will done in my life (John 14:14). I speak and then walk towards that mountain to see it move away by the miracle working power of God.

The Power of God Is The Gospel!

1/8/2014

We have separated the gospel from God's power. For most the gospel of Jesus Christ is a message of salvation in repentance from sin. The gospel has been reduced to getting people saved as in a ticket to the kingdom of God.
We have gotten the idea that God's word is for peace, right living, and doing what pleases God. These are good things; however, the power of God's transformation, deliverance from the curse, healing, and freedom is almost forgotten. There is no question that being born again is the most important miracle of Jesus; however, it is the signs, wonders, and miracles of healing and deliverance that bring people to salvation! The power of God makes the word of God real, meaningful, believable; leading unbelievers to believe!
Paul wrote:
I Cor. 2:2  For I determined not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified.
3  I was with you in weakness, in fear, and in much trembling.
4  And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in                             demonstration of the Spirit and of power,
5  that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God.

Not Just Us But Also Christ! (His Needs Are Our Needs!)

11/14/2013

Jesus said that when we were sent by Him we are being sent by the Father (John 20:21). He went onto say that if they rejected Him, they will reject us.

Joh 15:20  "Remember the word that I said to you, ‘A servant is not greater than his master.’ If they
persecuted Me, they will also persecute you.
If they kept My word, they will keep yours also.

When we became born again we came into a new kingdom (Col. 1:13). The old is passed away; behold all things are new (II Cor. 5:17). This also means that we no longer belong to ourselves but we have been bought with the blood of Christ--we belong to God (I Cor. 6:20). What we say, do, and live to in Christ means that we are not alone or on our own. We've been sent; we've been inspired and led.

When we witness, share, pray for, preach, teach, and promote the love of God it is not our own. We are drawing from the grace of God to work the works of Christ (John 14:12). We've been blessed with the infusion of the divine nature that is empowering us to believe, to act and think in the realm of faith (II Pet. 1:4). We are walking in His steps (with Him); abiding in His Spirit (John 15:5). All of this is to say that when we witness for Him it is the Lord's work through us. When we preach, teach, and share, it is the Lord's work in us.

Eph 2:10  For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared
beforehand that we should walk in them.
